Evangelicals applaud PA’s move to protect children by cutting VOCs

Currently, over 300,000 of Pennsylvania’s children attend 1,118 schools within a half mile of oil and gas facilities, exposing them to methane and other toxins. As pro-life Christians, defending children’s health remains at the core of who we are. That’s why we are pleased that Pennsylvania’s Department of Environment Protection just released its standard for Control of VOC Emissions from Oil and Natural Gas Sources for public comment.

It's too bad that these concerns weren't considered before the gas production facilities were allowed to be built.

Everyone should be walking wherever they go.  Everyone should be heating their homes with renewable wood stoves.  No one should be flying anywhere and things made from fossil fuels should no longer be made.

I agree with that for the most part, but electric vehicles are a good option for travel along with opting for greed energy sourced electric power to charge them and geothermal for heating and cooling houses is better than burning wood.

The problem here in PA isn't the habits of people living here, it's the gas production that's come in, polluting our aquifers and air, and selling to markets overseas.

Speaking of habits though, a couple of days ago someone in a pickup truck spotted my hybrid and turned on his rolling coal option as if to say that he's a moron with a small PP?
